Sophia, along with her husband Ernest and their four children, immigrated to the U.S. from Rosenow, Mecklenburg-Schwerin around 1860. He died in 1892 in Michigan. Their last name can be found spelled as Klevsaat, Klevesaat, Kleesaat, or Klesert in various records. Her death record showed the spelling as Kleosert. Her maident name can also be found spelled both a Brasst and as Prahst.
